For an advertising class at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I was required to come up with the name of a cable TV channel, a logo for the channel, and an ad campaign comprised of a total of three related magazine ads and an out-of-home component. I am a big basketball fan, so I wanted the cable TV channel — I named it Jumpshotz — to reflect this interest because I find myself having withdrawals when the NCAA and NBA seasons are over. If you're a fan of any sport, you'll know what I mean. The graffiti-style logo is directly related to basketball's primarily urban demographic, and I chose a kind of "food is necessary + basketball is necessary = basketball is food" theme for the campaign.
